This week the 2yo nursery was full of excitement as we explored transport through play! The children had a brilliant time discovering how vehicles move and using their imaginations to create their own little adventures.
We:
- Zoomed toy cars and trucks around the room
- Built roads and tracks with blocks
- Painted with car wheels to make colourful patterns
- Put cars down a big pipe and watched them race out the other end — so fast and fun!
There were lots of giggles and “wows” as the children explored movement, speed, and sound. It was a fantastic way to learn through play, build motor skills, and enjoy working together.

Our little artists had so much fun making car and truck paintings! We dipped the wheels into paint and zoomed them across big sheets of paper — what a colourful, messy adventure!
The children loved:
- Rolling the cars through paint and watching the tracks and patterns appear
- Mixing bright colours together as the wheels spun and slid
- Creating pictures that looked just like roads, tracks, and traffic fun!
This activity was part of our transport theme, and it was a big hit! The children were so proud of their artwork — each one was unique, full of colour, and full of movement. It was a brilliant way to get creative, explore how things work, and have lots of fun at the same time. Well done, little drivers — your paintings were amazing.
